Delete your Lairbound account

Delete it yourself in the app

1. Open Lairbound and sign in.
2. Tap the ☰ menu, then Account.
3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
4. Choose Export First if you'd like a copy of your books, or Continue.
5. Type DELETE and tap Delete Forever.

Or ask us to do it

Email [email protected] from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my Lairbound account." We'll delete it within 30 days and reply when it's done.

What gets deleted

Deleting in the app removes all of this from our cloud immediately and clears the library from that phone. If you only want to hide your library from other people instead, change who can see your library to Just me in Account.

A few things are kept for a limited time: reports you filed about other people (without your name attached), reports other people made about you (with your account no longer attached), encrypted database backups (deleted within about 7 days), and our service providers' security logs, such as sign-in records with your email address and IP address, which expire on their own schedules. Delete some of your data, and keep your account

• A book: open the book and tap Remove. The book and its notes are deleted from your library and from our cloud. A cover photo you took for it stays in storage until you ask us to delete it (see below).
• A quote or note: open the book and tap the ✕ next to the note.
• A friend: open Friends and remove them.
• Anything else (for example a cover photo, or all of your activity): email [email protected] from the email address on your account and tell us what to delete. We'll delete it within 30 days and reply when it's done.
